Got a bill. Called CS to complain because a charge was NOT on the bill.
Situation: Bought a new S5 for one of our lines in Miami TM company store. Told rep in store I would pay for it (wanted the miles on my card<G>) and didn't want "insurance" (which they all seem to push). When he printed out the multi-page contract it was set up to have the phone financed by TM. - but it wasn't worth having the whole thing redone even though the miles on a $600 purchase probably have a cash value of $10+.
Turns out he did add "insurance" at $120/yr. (I think they add $10/mo. to the bill when this happens.) The "insurance" papers came in the mail today. Bill will probably arrive in a day or two. I immediately called CS to have it removed, which they said they would do. The CS guy also said the charge for the phone wouldn't show up until the next month!
This same thing happened a few months ago (in Oakland) when I bought a phone (he took the credit card for payment in full.) I told him not to include the "insurance" he was trying to push. Sure enough, it showed up on the next bill and had to have it removed. This was a mid-level phone - and I figured over about 30 months I would have spent as much for "insurance" as I did for the phone!!
In past years never had a problem buying a phone.
I admit that I should actively had look for the "insurance clause" in the myriad of papers and crossed it out - especially after it had happened once before. I didn't/don't expect TM to act like 2nd hand credit furniture dealers.
Please tell management they should stop this practice.
