Hello Lauren,
Thanks for responding to my message. I seem to have this issue only at work, at least for now or maybe I haven’t noticed the WiFi issue at home because of continuous access to a signal.
Even this morning, I noticed that I wasn't able to make or receive calls through the WiFi network. (Interestingly, I was able to browse websites thought.) But this time, I disabled the "WiFi" connection and re-enabled it and it seemed to work, so I didn't have to reboot the phone or "forget" the network and re-connect again.
I was under the impression that in the absence of a cellular signal, the phone will automatically connect to the WiFi network (once the credentials have been saved). It just seems like a nuisance to keep monitoring the signal; especially, since at work I don’t have any cell reception and if I don’t check the WiFi connection then I could be missing calls and messages, which in turn defeats the purpose of buying an Android phone from T-Mobile.
If this is Android related then swapping the phone will not make a difference and because I've had this issue on only 3 days since I got the phone on 03/28/14, I'm not sure if it could be any setting or app related. Do you know if other Android phones have similar issues? FYI, my phone currently has Android 4.4.2.
Any feedback in this regard is much appreciated.
Thanks.
