I thought I'd share a fix I stumbled upon after having trouble with my G3's wifi perpetually stuck trying to turn on.
It seems like there have been a few other users with similar issues on various android phones, mostly running kitkat 4.4. Several suggested fixes included booting to recovery mode and clearing the device's cache partition, performing a factory reset, or rooting the device and modifying config files (which, admittedly, I did not try. I was careful to research whether rooting violates the conditions of the Jump insurance program. It does).
Several hours of wrestling with the issue and a frustratingly unsuccessful factory reset later, I still had not made any headway. Some desperate google-fu turned up this reddit thread Wifi broken? : lgg2
Granted, the fix that the OP found was for his or her G2. However, removing my micro sd card did solve the issue, oddly enough. Hopefully this helps someone.
