CANNOT ACTIVATE MY PHONE

I just bought a new T-mobile phone and used my existing phone # from virgin mobile.   I emailed Virgin mobile but they have not replied yet.  Please tell me what to do in order for me to use my t-mobile phone.  Thank you Cynthia
